প্রথমে দুজন প্রতিনিধির আসার কথা থাকলেও ভিসা জটিলতায় আসতে পারছেন না একজন। সূত্র জানিয়েছে, বিসিবির সঙ্গে আলোচনার পাশাপাশি সরকারের সঙ্গেও কথা বলতে পারেন আইসিসির প্রতিনিধি।
প্রশ্ন হলো, বিসিবির দাবি মেনে বাংলাদেশের ম্যাচ ভারত থেকে শ্রীলঙ্কায় নিতে চাইলে কোন পথে যেতে পারে আইসিসি? বা যদি সেটা শেষ পর্যন্ত না–ই হয়, কোন পথে ভারতে না গিয়েও বিশ্বকাপে খেলতে পারে বাংলাদেশ? একটু চেষ্টা করেই দেখা যাক না, যদি বাংলাদেশের খেলার মতো পরিস্থিতি তৈরি করা যায়!
‘বি’ গ্রুপ, ‘সি’ গ্রুপে অদলবদল
সবচেয়ে সহজ পথ হলো, আইসিসি যদি বিশ্বকাপের গ্রুপিংটা একটু এদিক–সেদিক করে নেয়। টি–টুয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপের চার গ্রুপের মধ্যে বাংলাদেশ আছে ‘সি’ গ্রুপে। এই গ্রুপের অন্য চার দল ইংল্যান্ড, ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ, নেপাল ও ইতালি। বিশ্বকাপের সূচি অনুযায়ী এই গ্রুপের সব খেলা পড়েছে ভারতের মুম্বাই আর কলকাতায়।
ধরুন, ‘সি’ গ্রুপ থেকে বাংলাদেশকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হলো ‘বি’ গ্রুপে; আর ‘বি’ গ্রুপ থেকে আয়ারল্যান্ডকে নিয়ে আসা হলো ‘সি’ গ্রুপে; তাহলেই সমস্যার সমাধান হয়ে যায়। দুই দলই এখন যার যার গ্রুপের তিন নম্বর দল হিসেবে আছে। ‘বি’ গ্রুপে আয়ারল্যান্ড ছাড়া বাকি চার দল অস্ট্রেলিয়া, শ্রীলঙ্কা, জিম্বাবুয়ে ও ওমান। এই গ্রুপের সব খেলাই পড়েছে শ্রীলঙ্কার দুই শহর কলম্বো আর পাল্লেকেলেতে। আয়ারল্যান্ডকে ‘সি’ গ্রুপে দিলে আয়ারল্যান্ডের সব খেলা হবে ভারতে আর বাংলাদেশকে ‘বি’ গ্রুপে দিলে বাংলাদেশের সব খেলা পড়বে শ্রীলঙ্কায়।
আর একটি উপায় হতে পারে ‘বি’ গ্রুপের সব খেলা ভারতে আর ‘সি’ গ্রুপের সব খেলা শ্রীলঙ্কায় নিয়ে গেলে। কিন্তু সে ক্ষেত্রে দুই গ্রুপের দশ দলকেই নাড়াতে হয়, যেটি জটিলতা বাড়াবে। কারণ, টুর্নামেন্টের এত অল্প আগে সূচি আর ভেন্যু বদলাতে হলে আইসিসিকে অন্য বোর্ডগুলোর মতামতও নিতে হবে।
স্বাগতিক বোর্ড হিসেবে বিসিসিআইয়ের মতামত অবশ্য এখানে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। সমস্যার গ্রহণযোগ্য সমাধান চাইলে ভারত নিশ্চয়ই অন্তত বাংলাদেশ আর আয়ারল্যান্ডের মধ্যে গ্রুপ অদলবদলে আপত্তি করবে না। তখন অন্য সদস্যদেশগুলোর সমর্থন পাওয়া কঠিন হবে না আইসিসির জন্য। তবে ভারত বেঁকে বসলে, ভারতকে এড়িয়ে বাংলাদেশের বিশ্বকাপ খেলার এই সহজ পথটা বন্ধ হয়ে যেতে পারে।
পাকিস্তানও যদি না খেলে
তবে অন্য পথ খোলা থাকবে। বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (বিসিবি) আইসিসিতে থাকা বন্ধুপ্রতিম বোর্ডগুলোর সহায়তা চাইতে পারে। ধরুন, ভারতের নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তোলা বাংলাদেশের বিশ্বকাপ খেলতে না পারার প্রতিবাদে আরও কিছু বোর্ড যদি বাংলাদেশের পাশে দাঁড়ায়; বিসিবির দাবির মুখে এমনিতেই চাপে থাকা বিসিসিআইয়ের ওপর চাপ আরও বাড়বে সন্দেহ নেই।
সবাই জানে ২০২৪ সালের ৫ আগস্টের পর থেকে আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটে বিসিবির ‘কাছের বন্ধু’তে পরিণত হয়েছে পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (পিসিবি)। বাংলাদেশের দাবিকে সমর্থন জানিয়ে তারাই বলতে পারে, ‘বাংলাদেশের দাবি না মানা হলে আমরাও বিশ্বকাপ থেকে নাম প্রত্যাহার করব।’ পাকিস্তানের সংবাদমাধ্যমকে নাকি পিসিবির শীর্ষ পর্যায় থেকে এরই মধ্যে আভাস দেওয়া হয়েছে, বাংলাদেশের ম্যাচ ভারত থেকে না সরালে তারা সবাইকে চমকে দেওয়ার মতো (শকিং) কিছু করবে।
পিসিবি তা করবেই, এ রকম নিশ্চয়তা এখনো নেই। তবে এরই মধ্যে তারা বিশ্বকাপে বাংলাদেশের ম্যাচ আয়োজনে নিজেদের আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছে। তার মানে বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে পিসিবির নৈতিক সমর্থন পাচ্ছে বিসিবি। তাহলে বিশ্বকাপে খেলার অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে ক্রিকেট কূটনীতির অংশ হিসেবে পিসিবির সহায়তা চাইতে অসুবিধা কোথায়! আর কে না জানে; উপমহাদেশের বিশ্বকাপে বাংলাদেশ ও পাকিস্তানের মতো দুই দেশের না খেলা মানে বিশ্বকাপের বিপণনেই বড় ধস নেমে আসা। স্বাগতিক দেশ হিসেবে আর্থিক ক্ষতিটা যেহেতু ভারতেরই বেশি হবে, বিসিসিআই নিশ্চয়ই সেটা চাইবে না। বিসিসিআইয়ের সঙ্গে ক্রিকেট কূটনীতির লড়াইয়ে জিতে ভারত থেকে খেলা সরাতে এই চাপ প্রয়োগও তাই একটা পথ হতে পারে বিসিবির জন্য।
যদি এর কোনোটাতেই কাজ না হয়, আইসিসি বিশ্বকাপের গ্রুপিং না বদলায় এবং পিসিবিও বাংলাদেশকে সমর্থন না দেয় বা দিলেও ভারত সেটাকে পাত্তা না দেয়; তাহলেও কোর্ট অব আরবিট্রেশন ফর স্পোর্টসে (সিএএস) গিয়ে আইনের আশ্রয় নেওয়ার পথ খোলা থাকবে বিসিবির সামনে। ভারতের নিরাপত্তা–শঙ্কার কথা যেহেতু খোদ আইসিসির নিরাপত্তা বিশ্লেষক দলের দেওয়া ‘ইন্টারনাল থ্রেট অ্যাসেসমেন্ট রিপোর্ট’–এ আছে, তাই ভারত থেকে খেলা সরানোর দাবি জানানোর অধিকার বাংলাদেশের আছে। জোরালো অবস্থান নিলে রায় পেতে সমস্যা হওয়ার কথা নয় বিসিবির। তবে তার জন্য হাতে যথেষ্ট সময় আছে কি না, সেটা একটা প্রশ্ন।
দ্বিতীয় বা তৃতীয় পথে যাওয়ার তখনই দরকার পড়বে যখন ভারত সহজ পথে যেতে রাজি হবে না। গত কয়েক দিনে বিসিবিসহ সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিরা অবশ্য আশাবাদী হয়ে উঠছেন, গ্রুপিংয়ে এদিক–সেদিক করেই সংকটের সমাধান হয়ে যাবে। তা না হলে পিসিবির ‘শকিং’ কিছু করার আভাস তো আছেই!
হযরত খালিদ ইবনে ওয়ালিদ (রা:) পারস্যের রাজার কাছে একটি চিঠি পাঠিয়েছিলেন। যা দেখে রোমান রাজার সাম্রাজ্য ভয়ে থরথর করে কেঁপে উঠেছিল। নিচে সেই চিঠিটি দেওয়া হলো:
“ইসলাম গ্রহণ করো, তাহলে নিরাপদ থাকবে। নচেৎ জিজিয়া প্রদান করো। আর যদি এটাও না করো, তবে জেনে রাখো— আমি এমন এক জাতিকে নিয়ে তোমাদের দিকে অগ্রসর হয়েছি, যারা মৃত্যুকে ভালোবাসে ঠিক তেমনি, যেমন তোমরা জীবনকে ভালোবাসো।”
